Era Art Bar and Lounge which is located in the
heart of Downtown Oakland on Grand Avenue. We recently opened our doors
and are now launching Thursday’s as Latin night.

Come and check out Rumbache, live at Era Art Bar and Lounge this Thursday, April 22nd.
Rumbaché (formerly Quimbombó) has established themselves as one of the hottest Bay Area salsa bands. Fusing salsa, timba, and bomba, they provide a hard hitting style of playing, and while you can hear them interpreting the classic and contemporary Cuban and Salsa repertoire, they are not shy with their own expression. Their fresh originals make them stand-out in an otherwise cover heavy salsa scene. Under the leadership of percussionist Patricio Angulo, Rumbaché is the voice of youth for San Francisco’s salsa scene, and ignites enthusiasm in dancers and musical connoisseurs alike.

Era Art Bar and Lounge presents Pellejo Seco! In its evolutionary process, Pellejo Seco has caught its own distinct flavor which intertwines progressive Fusion Rock, Latin pop, Brazilian, Flamenco, Afro-Cuban and Jazz. Ivan Camblor named the band, Pellejo Seco, and interprets it to mean Raw Hide. For Ivan the name has many meanings, one of which is to describe the dry and leathered skin of a campesino or farmer.

The Josh Jones Latin Jazz Ensemble has been an integral force in the Bay Area music scene since the early nineties. Josh Jones is recognized internationally from their touring with variety of jazz greats and has played in all of the local jazz festivals.

Era Art Bar and Lounge presents Pellejo Seco!!
Without a doubt, Pellejo Seco marks a new plateau in Latin music in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in the East Bay in 2004 by Ivan Camblor, this eclectic group has its roots in Traditional Cuban music and performs only original compositions. The group produces a creative sound which combines the exquisite, popular and fantastic.
